Water Treament
Systems
There are
4 basic steps in solving your water system problems:
- Primary Solids
- Secondary Solids
- Oils and Grease
- Heavy Metals
For more information on these 4 steps,
please read the Introduction
to Water Filtration Equipment. You can also
view some Water
Test Results to prove our systems will work for
you.
Primary
Solids
Your first
step in cleaning your water is to capture the heavy
solids through a resevoir tank or other Water Containment
System, such as our Hydropad or Latimat containment
systems. As a general rule, allow 45 minutes for
solids to settle in the resevoir tank or containment
pad. It's important to keep your tank cleaned
on a regular basis.
Secondary
Solids
These are
free floating suspended solids that do not readily drop
out of the water in a settling pit or containment pad.
The CMAFU-2 is perfect for this application. The
Continuous Media Automatic Filtration Unit acts like
a coffee filter, with water draining to the bottom leaving
the solids on a self feeding disposable filter media.
Oil
/ Water Separation
We use an
active high concentration laminar flow coalescing system
and/or active oil skimming (belt skimmers). Where
heat, chemical soaps, solvents or acid are used, oils
are emulsified and remain suspended in the water column
making them much more difficult to remove. Our oil adsorbing
media, Hydrosorb, can reduce hydrocarbons to less than
10-PPM. By making multiple passes through a media
filled with Hydrosorb, these emulsified oils can be
removed.
Heavy
Metals and Recirculation Systems
If you discharge
heavy metals, we use a secondary polishing system utilizing
active carbons. Metals have both a physical and chemical
attraction to carbon, with different carbons attracting
different metals. With a mutipass polishing system,
we virtually eliminate metals in the discharge.
In recycling
situations we use diatomaceous earth (DE) filter media.
DE is available in many grades to suit the situation.
Our standard DE filters to 2/10ths of one micron. By
filtering to this fine level water clarity is optimized
and maintenance reduced on pressure washing equipment.

CMAFU
In Action
The CMAFU-2 handles the toughest solids. The
continous media filtration system relies on a spool
of filter media which automatically feeds itself forward
as the filter paper is used up. If you can change
a roll of toilet paper, you can manage the CMAFU.

HE/S1
Family
The HE/S1 product line is designed for extreme oil-water
separtion. With active oil skimming, coalescing
and the Hydrosorb absorption media, the HE/S1 has
the options and power you need to handle your oiling
grimy water.

ExtremeClean
Designed for Car/Truck Wash Bays, the ExtremeClean
system is a high flow oil-water separator, bacterial
odor control, coalescing, skimming, hydrocarbon, heavy
metals and light fuels polishing loops. It returns
water back to the carwash system at the high flow
rates required by this type of equipment.
